Take a look at Lance Andersen's BLOG for details on how to get the Sun Java System Application Server 8.0 (2004Q4 Beta) working with the newly open sourced Java database, Apache Derby. Apache Derby is a nifty Java database that has it's roots with Cloudscape Inc., which was bought by Informix and subsequently IBM. As an Apache incubator project, the Apache foundation is looking for as many participants as possible to help grow this burgeoning community. Details are available at the Apache Derby homepage. »
