Offline Browser Storage Tutorial and Talks Coming Up
In the first week of October, I'll be talking at AJAX World Conference in Santa Clara, and then the following week I'll be in Austin at ApacheCon. I'll be talking about and demonstrating how to build a web application that can run offline and then re-synchronize with the server, using Java DB as a local browser-embedded relational store. In the all-day tutorial at ApacheCon I'll be walking attendees step-by-step through the process of adding offline functionality to an application, including how to interact with a local database and techniques for synchronizing with the backend server.
So, if you'd like to learn more about this, I recommend you come to the talks or take the tutorial. If that's not possible, stay tuned to this space, and hopefully I'll publish what I've got in the weeks following these conferences.
