JMX Technology at JavaOne
JavaOne is fast approaching, and there's quite a lot in store for those interested in JMX technology.
- On Wednesday the 9th, my team-mate Luis-Miguel Alventosa will be co-presenting the hands-on lab Non-intrusive Monitoring Using JMX Technology and JConsole. (1:30--3:30pm)
- On Thursday the 10th, another team-mate Jean-François Denise and I will be presenting the technical session JMX Technology: Who's Doing What?. We'll be talking about current uses of the technology; how it fits with AOP; what's coming in Version 2.0 of the JMX API; and how the Web Services Connector will improve interoperability with the world outside the Java platform. (10:55--11:55am)
- Also on Thursday, Vladimir Vivien will present Creating Manageable Systems with JMX, Spring AOP, and Groovy. (5:30--6:30pm)
- Still on Thursday, Mohamed Abdelaziz and Mike Duigou will present a BOF entitled Using Java Management Extensions (JMX) for Monitoring Widely Distributed Networks, linking JMX and JXTA technologies. (7:55--8:45pm)
In addition to all that, you'll have an excellent chance of cornering a member of Sun's JMX team at Booth 965 in the Pavilion, if there are questions or ideas you'd like to discuss. I'll be there on Wednesday from 2:45--4:45pm and on Thursday from 1:00pm--3:00pm. I'll also be in the .ORG ZONE (Booth 1538) on Wednesday from 11:30--12:30am.
