Rama Talasila of the Sun Java System Portal Server development team has posted a screencast that previews the capabilities of Portal Desktop Design Tool in an upcoming release (version 7.2) of Sun Java System Portal Server. In particular, the screencast shows you how to add content, edit the layout of tabs and channels, and change the themes of your portal pages.
