BarCampEarth (formerly BarCampWorldwide) is a simultaneous compendium of Barcamps around the world to commemorate the anniversary of the first-ever BarCamp. This year's event will take place Aug 17-19 around the world. In Silicon Valley, the local event is BarCampBlock in Palo Alto on August 18-19. The plan for this year is to have a multi-office party starting at SocialText's offices... and looping in nearby neighbors like IDEO, Edgeio, Intalio and so on.
