Partial port of OpenJDK 6 to Mac OS XPosted by fabriziogiudici on November 6, 2007 at 8:00 AM PST
Yeah, that's true, I'm not joking. Read Landon Fuller's blog. Why is it partial? Because there are some problems and it's based on X11 rather on Cocoa. If you want to deploy a desktop application on Mac OS X, you'd never do it with an X11 port, or tons of Apple users will complain about how crappy Java is. But's is fine for people deploying server application; it's a good starting point for the desktop. Join the project. Make a donation to Landon (I've just done). Support him. Competition is good.
