Java Power Tools is an Essential Java Resource!Posted by johnsmart on January 26, 2009 at 9:18 AM PST
Java Power Tools figures in Ted Neward's latest article on Essential Java Resources for junior and intermediate Java developers (and even more experienced ones). This article does a great job putting together a collection of the most useful web sites, weblogs, conferences, libraries, books and tools that every developer should know. On the book front, I would also include "Continuous Integration: Improving Software Quality and Reducing Risk", by Paul Duvall, Steve Matyas and, Andrew Glover, a reference in this area by some very savvy dudes, and Test Driven: TDD and Acceptance TDD for Java Developers, by Lasse Koskela, a solid introduction on the subject. I would recommend this article as essential reading for newer Java developers, who haven't lived through the shifting sands of the Java world over the last 14 years. It's even worth a look for more experienced developers - you never know what you might find. So check it out! "Probably the best training course I've been on."..."Not just how to write Java code but the 'business end' - how to build, test, deploy, manage and monitor"..."One of the best and most useful courses I have attended. And they didn't even try to sell me anything!" - Now five days, with new and updated material! Check out the new 2009 season of the Java Power Tools Bootcamps. »
