JavaOne: What do you want to see?

Posted by chet on January 13, 2005 at 07:00 AM | Comments (2)

We've set up a forum on java.net: Planning JavaOne 2005.

The whole idea here is to find out more about what Java developers would like to see. There's a thread for every conference topic (and one for ideas that don't fit in the other buckets). Help make JavaOne The event of the 2005 conference season...

  • Things we have NOT seen before: More Client Side Java/SWING/JDNC; at least a bit on advanced SQL tuning from some of the partners; most projects fail due to bad methdologies that don't have requirments- so something session on requirements; more advanced topics - there are a lot of people that have 6-8 years of java vs people w/ 6 months of java; no marketing; no Sun markething, examples of live runing applications in proudction in Swing, (this thing does not break?)
