I just accepted a job offer from Google. Thanks for the hook up, Cedric.
Many have tried, but Google is the first company to convince me to leave beautiful St. Louis, MO (Go Cards!). I've decided I want to live in San Francisco as opposed to the San Jose area. I have to move in a couple weeks, but I have no idea where I'm going to live. I like lofts. Any advice would be much appreciated.

San Fransico is cool, both literally and figuratively. Congrats!

Bob,
If you want to live near the ballpark (South Beach), I would suggest South Beach Marina Apartments. I lived there for a year until I moved to Portland to take a job with Jive Software. Their website is www.sbma-sff.com. I really liked that place because there was virtually no noise due to the fact that the walls are concrete.

Congrats, Bob! Wow, what a big change from St. Louis. Any idea what you'll be working on there? I'm very surprised at the number of Java people that Google is hiring. Is there something big in the works? Good luck with the move!

Watch out for that commute down 101; you might wanna consider living on the peninsula just for your sanity's sake.. traffic can be pretty nuts at rush hour. Housing wise: cruise craigslist.org and good luck!
