JXTA BugDay WrapUp

Posted by gonzo on December 9, 2004 at 2:43 PM PST

The JXTA 2.3.2 BugDay went off without a hitch and fun was had by all. Lot's of interesting dialog ensued. It is quite rewarding to talk about JXTA using JXTA. Walk the talk so to speak and I for one would have it no other way.

For this go around MyJXTA ran in it's own application subgroup which is easy enough to say and what not but the ramifications are significant and worth revisting. In this model there is little to no reliance on infrastructure support and services. The JXTA network is dynamically managed and constantly adjusting based solely on the resources provisioned by the participating JXTA instances. True edge computing. End to end. Secure through and through.

JXTA is the network!

Get Connected!

Java == platform independence
XML == application independence
JXTA == network independence

Secure End-to-End Computing
