JXTA by Numbers
The JuxTest team have published their recent findings. These folks are doing an amazing job. Truly amazing! There is nothing quite as motivating as working within a community where all the pieces fall into place.
Mathieu and David have generated some sweet graphics measuring the recently released JXTA 2.3.2 with various configurations against past milestones. Metrics include:
Being fans of Extreme Programming we look to institutionalize this work via incorporation with the nightly build process resulting in continual and objective validation against work done, holding regressions in check and keeps JXTA focussed on the endgoal, that being, "JXTA *is* the Network". Further, we should be able to expand the test suite to coverage to include:
- JXTA implementations (J2SE, C, etc.)
- JVM tuning parameters
- varying JVMs
- system/OS tuning
- varying systems
