Please take a look at, "MXBeans: Bundling Values Without Special JMX Client Configurations" on java.sun.com. I lent Sun's Eamonn McManus a hand with the writing. (What a terrific guy to work with!) It's about an important new feature of the JMX API in Java Standard Edition 6 (JSE 6), namely, its ability to create MXBeans, a substantial improvement over MBeans, which provide a convenient way to bundle related values without requiring special client configurations to handle the bundles.
