Upcoming ICEFaces/Grizzly/Comet talks in Canada

Our ICEFaces/Comet/Grizzly Framework sessions at JavaOne were well attended and we have decided to give a couple of replay across Canada. Sessions on AjaxPush, GlassFish/Grizzly Framework and ICEFaces will be available May 27 (Toronto), May 29 (Montreal) and June 3 (Vancouver). Click here to register. • Hi Jean,

  I am very new to Grizzly and so your informations on it were real help to me. But still I have certain queries, hope you may have some time to help me.

  My problem is that I need to send asynchronous http response and I am not sure as how to send it using Grizzly.

  For example, I recieve a request from the client and to make teh processing fast, I send it the acknowledgement saying that final response will be delivered later and together with that we store the delivery location with us. The delivery location can be the part of the request data. Now after processing the request, I need to send the HTTP response to that location and I am not sure as how to code.

  Code you please provide some light on it.

• Hi Sumit, please sent your request to users@grizzly.dev.java.net. To see how to do that using Grizzly, please take a look at this example. This was with Grizzly 1.0, but the same API are available with 1.7.3 (our current release). Follow up on the users list :-) Thanks, Jeanfrancois

• La session a Montréal était très bien ce matin. J'aimerais aimé qu'on aille la partie sur le NIO cependant. Serait-il possible d'avoir les slices de la demo ? Je viens justement de voir un nouveau gateway utilisant NIO et après je voulais en faire une 2e implémentation utilisant Grizzly. La raison que je n'ai pas pris Grizzly au début, était que je ne connaissais pas assez NIO, et je voulais comprendre le principe en dessous. Maintenant, je pense être pret :) Tu vas tout de même voir des questions sur la mailing list, je suis sur de ne pas l'avoir du 1er coup.
