A Seat! A Seat! My Kingdom for a Seat!

Well, as I mentioned before, there's some weird scheduling going on. I got up this morning expecting to go to a couple of performance talks but both of them overflowed in a big way. What a waste!

Once again I'll suggest that Sun should make these sessions available online for free.

  • Absolutely agree
Seems like every year Sun does a poor job of capacity planning. They should take a survey or use the results of the calendar programs to estimate demand - maybe they already do. They should charge those that attend the conference for session slides - this is crazy!!!
Just another way to make a buck!

  • Get what you pay for
Yes. If you paid the bucks you should get copies of the sessions mailed to you after the conference.

As for the free online.... you gotta stop smok'n that wacky weed. ;-)

That seems like an awful lot of DVDs to send to a lot of people.

To clear, I'm not saying that Sun should post them up for free for all of the people who didn't come to show. Sun should charge for their content -- just not to all of the people who came to show who have already paid. It just comes across as tacky, annoying, etc.
