From JDBC to XQuery

Posted by jonbruce on December 17, 2004 at 11:30 AM | Comments (1)

This will be my last JDBC blog on Java.net. I am moving to a new position on the East Coast to head up Technology Evangalism for XQuery for Progress Software (PRGS).

I am happy to report that JDBC 4.0 is excellent shape and it will be guided towards it's Early Draft Review and future JCP milestones by Lance Andersen and others in Sun. I'd like to thank everyone who has taken the trouble to read my BLOG, and make some excellent contributions to JDBC and it's future specifications.

One of the advantages of the excellent new open processes instituted by Sun include the milestone source and binary builds of J2SE 6.0 (Mustang), the J2EE SDK Java.net project and others. I'll be continuing to make contributions where possible in many J2EE and Java projects.

I'll likely be moving my BLOG also - I'll post again with the URL shortly.

Until next time...
