I want to share an RUP presentation that i have made before ...

I saw that there is a poll in java.Net about Software development process. sure I vote in favor of Process that I have work in its framework before (RUP) and I prefer to work in adhere to its rules. And now I wan to share a fast overview presentation about RUP with users that like to know this process and need a very straight and simple to follow presentation. The presentation come in 68 pages and cover the following issues.

  • We do RUP at work, but the problem is that RUP doesn't mean anything except that you payed to be able to say you do RUP. After that you could be doing anything between a waterfall process and XP (or dX).

  • Indeed , there are lesser portion of companies out there that use RUP
    and it is because of its heavy nature. usually a project in top level will be planned by using RUP rules , and in sub teams level people use XP or other process that they prefer. in this case they will fully adhere a proven process and use a agile methodology for sub Teams level .
