What is AVK? This weblog doesn't say, and the survey doesn't seem to say either.

The Java AVK, is the J2EE application verification kit, which allows you to validate that your J2EE application is portable.
I will update the blog to include a pointer to a URL with additional information on the AVK. Thanks for your comments!

I wrote a brief blog entry about this:

The survey didn't let me write feedback, so here's my quick thought:
- the VAK must support other app servers or at least provide a usable API for adding in support for my own app server
Thanks!

in short, please support more app servers. i tried to say this on the survey, but there was no place for notes.
thanks

Hi,
The static verification portion of the Java AVK will work with any application server. They dynamic validation requires the J2EE SDK as it requires special logic within the application server to validate the dynamic requirments. The J2EE SDK is considered to be the gold standard so an application which runs onit, will be able to run on any J2EE compatible application server.
Thank you again for your comments

On the explaining part; please tell us (or better yet; put it on the webpage) what an FCS is...

Thanks for your post. an FCS stands for First Customer Ship. Some companies refer to this as GA or General Availability.
