In a Nutshell: Open-Source Identity Projects From Sun

Posted by marinasum on September 5, 2006 at 8:44 AM PDT

Read it for yourself: What's Happening in Identity at Sun. It's a concise rundown of Sun's three open-source identity projects, all long awaited and much clamored for: Open Single Sign-On (OpenSSO), Open Directory Service (OpenDS), and Project Tango, which tackles interoperability between the Java platform and the Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation. They promise to boost security along with enhanced user experience through access control, SSO, and Web services.Pat, of course, is a big name among Sun's identity luminaries. Read his informative, often humorous blog, cleverly named Superpatterns. I've enjoyed collaborating and trading jokes with him over the past few years.
