Trumpets! As highlighted in today's Java Today, OpenDS, an open-source LDAP directory service written in the Java language, has released its version 1.0.0. Among the key capabilities are—

  • Standard and experimental LDAP extensions, hence maximum interoperability with LDAP clients
  • Rich APIs
  • Support of multimaster replication model

Installation through the GUI installer involves only six steps. Do check it out!
