Dave Johnson: Sheeesh! Are those blogs for real? They are all identical, no themes. Some of them look a little forced, as in "you will blog now please employee #76654, get to work." The others look and feel like the O'Reilly blogs, you know, the ones where the author is maintaining two blogs: one personal blog and one O'Reilly blog which is generally not worth subscribing to.

You know, us alpha geeks are a hard crowd to please. However, you know I wouldn't be posting this unless there was an implicit offer to help

My biggest gripe: no referer logs that I can find.

  • We would LOVE any help offered
Thanks for pointing out Dave Johnson's comments, Sam. We are clearly still learning the ropes of blogging here (those of us who are only blogging now because we can on java.net). Dave is wrong about one thing, however. We did NOT steal anything from O'Reilly. In fact O'Reilly is providing the engine for the java.net blogs as part of the editorial services they provide. So if it looks like O'Reilly, that's because it IS O'Reilly.

Anyway, all of us really want to see this work and want your help of course.
