In an interview published today, Tom Wheeler and I talk a bit about how Boeing is using the NetBeans Platform for a number of internal software projects, and even has an internal distribution for building on called the Boeing Shared Platform.

If it's good enough to design an airplane with... :-)

  • @kirillcool --- Aahh, 50MB bundle ... where did you get that number from ? I must be missing something %-) Last time I checked the NetBeans Platform was on the order of ~ 3MB. Perhaps you are confusing the NetBeans Platform with the NetBeans IDE? Even the NetBeans IDE 6.0, without the web and mobility stuff is ~ 23MB. Still much less than 50MB. Could you explain where you came up with the 50MB number ?
