There is another class of applications that could benefit from the use of Rules engine, namely Network Management of distributed nodes. For instance the rules running on the node side can either take corrective actions or correlate multiple eventss to report one summary event to the operator. Ofcourse performance and memory are going to be big concern since most of these noddes in Telecom networks are running under different contraints. Has there been any work in this area? |
