I wonder, how you managed Java3d being so quick.
I just tried the Java3d examples on the same Computer and they are definitely so slow...

Anyone should provide better examples for beginners right now. Sorry, not me.
I write my own little 2d-adventure-game-engine (with all needed editors) in my spare time. I hope I will have a 3d implementation "soon".
