A soft shake for blueBill Mobile
Ok, sure, now everybody is focused on the upcoming JavaOne... but after the week in San Francisco, the usual carousel of conferences will go on. blueBill Mobile for Android is getting close to be feature-complete with the addition of fact sheets, including images. It sports a nice RDF-based model implemented upon OpenSesame and I'll be discussing its architecture at a new european event, Soft Shake 2010, that is going to be held in Genève on October 18th.
It's a rewarding milestone for me, as it's the first FLOSS, complete and production-ready product that I'm able to deliver since when I started studying the semantic web technologies a few years ago. I'll be pleased to talk about it in the lovely environment of the Lac Léman (where I also hope I'll have plenty of chances to use it while watching migrant wading birds ;-).
Continuing the trend of community-driven events, Soft Shake is organized
by the Agile Tour Genève, the Groupe des Développeurs iPhone de Suisse
romande and Geneva JUG. As you can infer, talks will come from three
themes: agility, iPhone and Java (plus an incubator for exploring some
extra stuff - for instance, Mario Fusco of lambdaj fame will talk about Scala). The subscription price is 100 CHF (less than 80 €) which
sounds as pretty good for a one-day event. If you speak english or
french and are in range to Genève, you shouldn't definitely miss it.
Here it is a preview from the upcoming blueBill Mobile for Android v0.16.
