Free, ALL ACCESS Backstage Pass for Sun Developer Network

In a previous blog, I alluded to the free membership at Sun Developer Network (SDN). A December promotion, called ALL ACCESS Backstage Pass, promises prizes of leather jackets and T-shirts in celebration of Java technology’s 10th anniversary.Joining SDN is merely a matter of completing a simple online form. Once you’re a member, you can do the following:

  • Post at forums that are manned by Sun engineers—the very behind-the-scenes experts—who are always eager to answer questions or swap ideas with you.
  • Download a variety of products and technologies, including the Solaris Operating System and development tools, most of which are free.
  • Access, first hand, information on software-oriented training classes, conferences, and related discounts and contests.
  • Subscribe to newsletters with pointers to code samples, Webinars, Webcasts, podcasts, articles, productivity tips, events.

Information overload, you might say? As fast as technologies are advancing nowadays, it does pay to stay on top, to say nothing of the problem-solving tips and tricks, as well as helpful, informative programming examples you're bound to net. So don’t hesitate! Recommend SDN and ALL ACCESS Backstage Pass to your associates, too.
