Earlier today, Sun shipped the Beta release of NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5, which adds tools to the NetBeans IDE for developing, testing, and debugging SOA applications with UML modeling, XML, BPEL, and Java WS. Enhancements center on refactoring for XML schemas, WSDL, and BPEL; BPEL validation for design tasks; the WSDL designer; support for identity-enabled services; and the installer from which you can select specific features. The keywords are visual design, lending simplicity, convenience, and efficiency to the development cycle.

The NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5 Beta hub on Sun Developer Network contains pointers for you to "see it, learn it, and get it." All the resources are there at your fingertips. Do download and try things out!
