A valentine helper from a "John Donne (1572-1631)

Valentine and impending doom, when in the same sentence, are redundant. Perhaps the following lines from John Donne(1572 to 1631) might be of somehelp to the needy:

If ever any beauty I did see,
Which I desired, and got, 't was but a dream of thee
