This Saturday (Oct 31, 2009), Bangalore hosts Mobile App Conference - an event organized by siliconindia. This event is focused towards mobile applications and is likely to be attended by key players in India in this space - we can see a gathering of big bunch of mobile application developers and people from the business side of this domain.

Sun Microsystems Inc. is going to present (and demonstrate) their JavaFX Mobile platform. The session on JavaFX Mobile would also focus on the new coding paradigm introduced by the technology. So for mobile developers keen on getting their handson JavaFX Mobile, this could be a good opportunity to learn.

Along with that Sun Microsystems Inc. would also demonstrate JavaME SDK 3.0 - a SDK that provides an integrated development environment CLDC, CDC stacks and goes on to including other development environments like BD-J, LWUIT. This could be of interest to developers from both mobile and TV space.

So if you are around in Bangalore, then try to be there. Surely there would be interesting stuffs to see and learn about.

It was a wonderful experience to be there among so many JavaME developers! Truly there are lots of companies and developers putting their bet on JavaME technologies in India.
Curiosity to know where JavaFX could take the mobile applications was evident - questions like "what happens to my existing JavaME apps?" were to be heard. And when they got an answer that their existing apps can all co-exist, they seemed to interested to embrace a new technology that would make apps so much "rich"!
A big thumbs up to the number of JavaME developers in India - all are trying to some important problems of our lives with a proven technology.
