Launch of the redesigned ME Application Developers Project

Posted by terrencebarr on May 6, 2007 at 2:46 AM PDT

Over the last couple of weeks and months we have worked very hard to update the ME Application Developers Project. We've redesigned it substantially, now showcasing cool and interesting applications with live demos on the front page as well as adding lots of new and useful content and information. Plus, we have launched four (4!) new sub-projects (Project Demo Box, phoneME UI Labs, Mobile Ajax for Java ME, and Best Practices for Java ME development), with source code under BSD (where applicable). See also Aastha's blog on the phoneME UI Labs project. Finally we've re-launched HDcookbook as part of the ME Application Developers Project.

As the project owner I am very excited of what we've put together and hope you will find it useful and participate in making the ME Application Developers Project a top destination for Java ME application and content developers. I'd like to mention our web and content team (Casey and Phil), the owners of the sub-projects (Aastha, Akhil, Mano, and Kuldip), and our Program Manager (Craig) for working so hard to get this all done in time for JavaOne. Thanks much!

Check it out here. Let us know what you think, or even better, get involved.
