"The JavaOne Effect"
I've been doing monster searches over the past few months for a Swing developer here in NYC. I am seeing a lot more Java developers now than I was a month or two ago. Is it because the economy is improving or because it's right after JavaOne.
I was discussing this with a coworker when he mentioned "the JavaOne effect". This is where there is risidual hype from JavaOne permeating through the market place. People are more interested in Java. Maybe developers who were on the fence about doing Java or C# development read a cool interview with James Gosling and get all excited again.
Not really sure if I buy it, but it is interesting...
