Call for Submissions: Top 10 Desktop Sessions at JavaOne

Posted by joconner on March 16, 2007 at 3:28 PM PDT

The 2007 JavaOne Conference is right around the corner, May 8 - 11. JavaOne is the largest Java technology conference of the year. Drop the excuses, you have to be there.

Regular attendees know that you have to plan things in advance. The number of sessions, the huge crowd, and all the show floor distractions practically require you to plan ahead. So, I'm making a top 10 list of "Desktop" track sessions that I'd like to attend. Oh, sure, I might have to make a top 10 "Open Source" sessions or "SE" sessions too...there's a lot to see. But for my purposes right now, I want to make a Top 10 Desktop Sessions list.

The session content catalog is now online. Take a look. Select the Desktop track, see what's available. Write down your top 10, and let me know what you want to see. I'll provide my own complete list later....ok, I can't wait until later. I'll give you a peek at my top 10 list, but just a peek for now:

  • JSR 296: The Swing Application Framework (TS-3942)
  • Beans Binding (TS-3569)

Head up to the content catalog to see what's available. Come back here to share your selection of the Top 10 (or even just 3) Desktop sessions.
