New (really cool) demo added to phoneME UI Labs!

While this blog has been looking pretty sparse since JavaOne, here's proof that we have indeed been busily toiling away to bring you more cool UI examples. We have just made the source to the MobileAerith demo available on phoneME UI Labs. For those of you who didn't make it to JavaOne this year, this was a demo that was shown at the Java One Mobility Keynote (which, by the way you can view here). The UI for the entire MIDlet is created using JSR 226, and the source code is now available on phoneME UI Labs. The source code can be checked out from the DemoBox repository, and is available as a NetBeans project for ease of building and running. So check it out, I hope this gives you new ideas to create rich, animated and interactive UIs for your apps using JSR 226.

While the MobileAerith source released showcases the UI, you can convert this MIDlet into a full Web 2.0 netizen by utilizing the Mobile Ajax libraries that Sun has also open sourced and made available here.
