Yesterday I facilitated the JSF 2.2 BOF at the CON_FESS 2011 conference. After years of having, but not using my slideshare account, I decided to upload the slides there, at <http://www.slideshare.net/edburns/jsf-2-2bof>. The slides set expectations for JSF 2.2 and give pointers for how to get involved at various levels of interest.

After the meeting we held the kick off meeting for the JSF 2.2 Expert Group. We decided to start the process of organizing the issues by requiring the EG members, and requesting the general public to use the JIRA voting system to vote for five and only five issues from the 320 open issues in the official issue tracker for the JSF spec. This round of voting will conclude at start of business Wednesday 20 April 2011. The results will help the EG organize the issues so we can choose the most important ones. I've set us the goal of having our work plan mostly understood by 26 April 2011, so this voting is just to help in getting a first cut at organizing the issues. Please do not vote for more than five issues at this time, doing so will water down the importance of your choices.

Naturally, you are welcome to file issues and then vote for them. You don't have to restrict your choices to just existing issues, though please search through the open issues before filing a new one. We don't want to waste time on duplicates.
